Martin was born and raised in Hong Kong before leaving and spending twelve years in the british army. He is been an outstanding servant at all level of the game in Hong Kong, mostly simply completing six years on the HKRU board of directors. Martin joined the Sevens Management team in and been able present in the most successful period of the national team with the two silver medals at the Asian Games as well as two Asian Seven Series Championship.
